RUAS

RUAS is a commercial drone services and training company listed at the GCell Building on South Lake Drive, Imperial Way, in Newport, South Wales. It describes itself as an innovator in drone services, aerial technology operations and training, drawing on experience across the aerospace sector.

Its services fall into three groups. Imagery covers aerial video, spectral imagery, orthomosaics, 3D models and photogrammetry. Inspections cover roofs and buildings, confined spaces, non-destructive testing and visual inspections. Surveys include point cloud, thermal, offshore, building, utility, topographical and engineering surveys.

Clients come from rail, utilities and power, film and TV, education, infrastructure, construction, military and defence, and oil and gas.

The RUAS Drone Training Academy runs courses including the A2 Certificate of Competency, the General VLOS Certificate (GVC) and renewals, a Level 4 award for commercial drone pilots, flight training days, operations manual reviews and a three-day aerial data processing course. Prices are shown on its website, and bespoke training for teams is available.
