Overview
Mona Flying Club is the trading name of Mona Aviation Ltd. It was formed in 1975 and flies from RAF Mona on Anglesey, North Wales. Volunteers run it, including the flying instructors, and committee members also serve as company directors. The club is a Declared Training Organisation (DTO) with the UK Civil Aviation Authority.
The club offers membership, flying lessons towards a pilot’s licence, aircraft hire and hangarage. Its aircraft is a 1981 Cessna 152, G-BILS, which qualified pilots can hire after a check flight with an instructor. The website notes that it is being refurbished.
Trial lessons follow the Anglesey coastline with a qualified instructor. Visitors are welcome to come and see the club.
