Newcastle Aviation Academy

Newcastle Aviation Academy is Newcastle College’s aviation training centre, located beside the runway at Newcastle International Airport in Woolsington.

The academy is based in a 12,000 m² aircraft hangar, the only facility of its kind in the North East. Students on the college’s aviation courses, including higher education programmes, learn hands-on with real aircraft and equipment. The college has invested further in the facilities over the past two years.

Courses prepare students for aviation careers, including aircraft maintenance engineering and cabin crew roles, rather than teaching people to fly. Course details and applications go through Newcastle College.
