Overview

The Sherwood Flying Club is a members’ flying club that has trained pilots for more than 50 years. It has moved from Nottingham (Tollerton) Airport to Tatenhill Airfield on Newborough Road, near Burton upon Trent in Staffordshire.

The club is run for its members by its members. It aims to let people from all walks of life fly economically and safely. The touring fleet is made up of Piper PA-28s, and the club has also used a Piper Tomahawk for training.

The club offers training for a pilot’s licence, and trial flying lessons can be booked online or by phone for anyone who wants to try flying.
