Overview
IMT Aviation Scotland Ltd repairs and refurbishes airliner structures, flying surfaces, engine nacelles and interiors. Its workshop is on Monument Crescent in Prestwick, close to Glasgow Prestwick Airport.
On flying surfaces, the company works on inboard, mid and outboard flaps, Krueger flaps, flaperons and flap tabs, slats, spoilers, elevators and their tabs, rudders, stabiliser tips and leading edges, flap track fairings, and wingtips including fences, winglets and sharklets. As well as standard manufacturer repairs, IMT can deal with damage outside manual limits through Part 21J approved repair designs, which can save customers time and money.
The structures team covers Airbus, Boeing, Embraer and ATR types. Typical parts include body fairings, passenger and cargo doors, equipment bay hatches, pylons and pylon fairings, radomes and tail cones.
IMT also has dedicated nacelle bays and experienced technicians for narrow-body aircraft engines. It repairs and overhauls intakes, fan cowl doors, thrust reversers, centre bodies, nozzles and acoustic panels, and has worked with airlines and parts stockists to reduce costs and turnaround times.
The website’s capability list sets out the individual parts it handles by ATA chapter, from passenger doors and winglets to thrust reversers and stabiliser tips. For quotes, call +44 1292 473855.
