Overview
Enstone Flying Club is a CAA-approved flight school in Oxfordshire, registered as a Declared Training Organisation (DTO number GBR.DTO.0259). Its website now gives Landmead Farm Airstrip at Garford, in the Vale of White Horse, as its flying base. The club’s long-standing home had been Enstone Airfield near Chipping Norton.
Training runs from trial flying lessons for complete beginners through to the Private Pilot Licence (PPL). The club also lists NPPL and LAPL training, IMC courses and PPL ground school for the theory exams, and it runs a Young Pilots Course. Qualified pilots can become members and fly the club’s training aircraft, and the website has information on aircraft parking and hangarage.
Gift vouchers for trial lessons and flying experiences can be bought online, including e-vouchers for last-minute presents. The club is also home to the ACESquadron, a tribute Spitfire squadron, and offers Spitfire experiences.
The club encourages anyone with questions to call a pilot for advice on 01608 678204 before booking.
