Overview
RAF Brize Norton is a Royal Air Force station at Carterton in West Oxfordshire, postcode OX18 3LX. It is a military airfield whose air terminal handles military air transport passengers, including service personnel and their families travelling to and from Cyprus and the Falkland Islands.
Seats on these flights are booked through the Defence Passenger Reservation Centre and other booking offices, not at the station. Air terminal staff cannot create bookings. Once a passenger is confirmed on a flight, they receive a passenger itinerary with details about the station and any visa requirements for the destination. Concessionary travel is applied for on form F/MOV/562e (Air) through the relevant booking office.
Anyone visiting the station must report to the Control of Entry building at the Main Gate and bring photographic ID, such as a driving licence or passport.
The RAF website has separate contacts for different enquiries. Media enquiries go to the station’s Media and Communications Officer, and there are dedicated email addresses for ceremonial and event enquiries and for passenger feedback. Information about aircraft noise and how to make a noise complaint is on the station’s Flying Info page.
