Overview
Darlton Gliding Club flies from Darlton airfield near Tuxford in Nottinghamshire. Its members come from Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire, Derbyshire and further afield.
The club fleet includes Schleicher ASK 13 and K21 two-seaters for training, plus single-seaters such as a Junior, an Astir, a Grob G102 and an ASK 8. Pilots progress from their first flights to solo and on to badge flights such as the Silver badge. Most flying uses runway 23.
Trial lessons and gliding experiences are the starting point for newcomers, and enquiries go to the club by phone or email. Darlton is also honouring vouchers issued by Trent Valley Gliding Club, which had to leave Kirton in Lindsey airfield in 2025.
