Yorkshire Aviation Academy

Yorkshire Aviation Academy is a flight training organisation at Leeds East Airport, formerly RAF Church Fenton, near Tadcaster. Pilots have trained at the airfield for 60 years, and the academy was set up to continue that heritage.

Training is on Piper PA-28 aircraft. It covers the PPL with ground school and theory, followed by the Night Rating, IMC and hour building for pilots heading towards a commercial licence. One instructor began flying with the East Midlands Universities Air Squadron on the Scottish Aviation Bulldog.

Gift vouchers are available for anyone who wants to give a flying lesson as a present.
