Hields Aviation says it is Yorkshire’s longest-established helicopter specialist, with more than 30 years’ experience. It is based at Sherburn Airfield on Lennerton Lane, Sherburn-in-Elmet, east of Leeds.

The company offers helicopter pilot training, charter brokerage and experience flights. Training runs from trial lessons to the PPL(H), with routes on to commercial flying and hour building for qualified pilots. The fleet ranges from the cost-effective Robinson R44 to the five-seat Bell 505 Jet Ranger X, both based at Sherburn.

Helicopter experience flights over Yorkshire are a large part of the business, and gift vouchers are available.
