Overview
Glennair Training Centre is an independent aircraft maintenance training provider based at the Business Aviation Centre on Buck Courtney Crescent, Norwich International Airport. It was set up in Norwich in 1980 as a family-run business and is still independent.
The centre runs Part 147 type training approved by the UK CAA, EASA and the UAE GCAA. Courses cover fixed-wing and rotary aircraft for B1, B2, combined B1/B2 and Category C licences, along with general familiarisation. Scheduled courses have included the Cessna 510, Cessna 560XL/XLS and the Beech 200 with the PT6 engine.
Most training takes place at customers’ own premises, with the right authority approval, which the company finds is more cost-effective for operators. Since the pandemic it has also built a virtual classroom for distance learning.
Course materials are produced in-house by its design team. The training centre is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4:30pm, and enquiries can be made by phone, email or the online form.
