Air Academy

Air Academy is a flying school at Elstree Aerodrome on Hogg Lane, near Borehamwood in Hertfordshire. The aerodrome is just off the M1 and close to the M25, so it is easy to reach from London.

The school trains pilots for the UK Private Pilot’s Licence on Piper PA-28 Warrior aircraft, at a pace that fits each student’s commitments. Students can choose the normal route or an accelerated programme, which can lead to a PPL in about four weeks, depending on the weather. Further training includes the IMC (IR(R)) and Night Rating, with cross-country navigation and ground school.

Trial lessons and gift vouchers are available for anyone who wants to try flying first.
