Castle Air

Castle Air is a rotary aviation group with its listed base at Diamond House, Hangar 525, Churchill Way at Biggin Hill Airport, near Westerham. It has worked in helicopter aviation for more than 40 years, and its sales listings also show aircraft at Liskeard in Cornwall.

The engineering division carries out helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul, including base maintenance, modifications and upgrades. Ian Taverner, who began his career as an apprentice in 1977, joined as Head of Engineering in September 2025, and the group works alongside partners at Heliwork.

Castle Air also sells and leases helicopters and business jets, with recent listings including Agusta A109 variants, a Gulfstream G200 and Learjet 40s. Its parts team supplies genuine helicopter parts and components.

The charter side offers airport transfers, travel to sporting and social events, and helicopters for film work, including productions such as Mission: Impossible and James Bond films.

Castle Air Academy provides helicopter pilot training and ground school, making this a one-stop group for owners, operators and new pilots.
