Overview
East Midlands Aeropark is an aviation museum and public viewing area on the northern edge of East Midlands Airport, near Castle Donington.
The site has a collection of preserved aircraft from earlier decades of aviation. From the same site, visitors can watch modern passenger and cargo aircraft taking off and landing. Two viewing mounds sit about 170 metres north of the main runway, near the runway 09 threshold. The eastern mound is level with the airport perimeter fence, so the view across the airfield is clear, which makes it popular with photographers.
It is not a flight school. It suits families, spotters and anyone interested in aviation history.
