Overview
Vision Aerospace is a light aircraft maintenance and avionics business at Turweston Aerodrome, off Biddlesden Road near Brackley. The airfield sits about three miles west of Silverstone, and visitors are advised to follow signs to the aerodrome rather than to Turweston village.
The workshop is approved under UK CAA Part 145 and Part M(g)/Part CAO, and it can also maintain Guernsey (2-) registered aircraft. A team of more than ten engineers looks after Piper, Robin, Cirrus, Cessna, Socata and other single and twin-engine types, with room for up to seven aircraft at a time. Its CAMO can issue ARCs and help owners write Self Declared Maintenance Programmes and Minimum Inspection Programmes.
On avionics, Vision Aerospace is a dealer for J.P. Instruments, Guardian Avionics and Aspen, and installs Avidyne and Garmin equipment, the latter in partnership with LX Avionics, with which it has now joined forces. Work ranges from 8.33 kHz radios and Mode S or ADS-B transponders to GTN and IFD navigators, Garmin G5 instruments and full G500 TXi glass panels.
Other services include scheduled maintenance, vortex generators, LED lighting and brake upgrades, accident damage repair and insurance work, and independent pre-purchase surveys. For minor jobs, owners can wait in the flight deck café while the work is done.
