Overview
The British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) Aerospace Technology Campus in Richmond, British Columbia, is the home of BCIT’s aerospace programs. It sits close to the South Terminal at Vancouver International Airport, at 3800 Cessna Drive, Richmond, BC V7B 0A1.
The campus is a purpose-built facility of around 285,000 square feet. At its centre is a 40,000-square-foot hangar that houses BCIT’s own training fleet. BCIT describes this fleet as light piston, turboprop, corporate and jet transport aircraft, together with light and medium helicopters, so students learn on the same kinds of aircraft they will meet in industry.
Visitors can reach the campus by public transit or by car. Paid parking is available at 3800 and 3820 Cessna Drive, and BCIT publishes a campus map and a short virtual tour for anyone planning a first visit. The campus office is open Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00.
For programme details, admissions and general enquiries, BCIT’s main telephone line is 604-434-5734, or toll-free 1-866-434-1610 from Canada and the United States. BCIT’s main campus and administration are at 3700 Willingdon Avenue in Burnaby. Full details of the aerospace programs, entry requirements and start dates are on the BCIT website.
