The Hunter Valley Airshow is back at Cessnock Airport in 2027, in the heart of New South Wales wine country. The organisers promise aerobatics and live stunts in the air alongside some rare warbirds, and there’s a full festival on the ground too, with a VR and flight-sim zone, rides and food. It makes a good excuse for a weekend away in the Hunter, with cellar doors a short drive from the airfield. Early-bird tickets are already on sale on the official site.

Dates: Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 April 2027.
