Brief History
Opened in 1941 as a WWII Army Air Forces training field, KDMN trained hundreds of pilots before transitioning to civilian use in 1946. Known locally as “Deming Army Air Field,” it once hosted B-25 Mitchell bombers. Today, the airport preserves its military heritage while supporting modern GA, medical flights, and the annual Deming Duck Races fly-in.
