Brief History
Opened in 1942 as Kingman Army Airfield during WWII, it trained over 35,000 gunners on B-17s and housed one of the largest aircraft storage/disposal sites post-war. Reactivated in 1949 as a civilian airport, it became a reliever in 1972. Today, it’s home to Kingman Airline Services (MRO & storage), Doss Aviation (initial flight screening for USAF pilots), and North-Aire Aviation (Part 141 flight school). Over 70,000 annual operations.
